Hi XXXXX and......"new", confusingly named XXXXX. So up til now I have been pretty absent in the whole drama of fwop. Today I get an email from a naturally anonymous person sayng that I have been "found out and congrats on duping the XXXX into paying for your brother's crap even though SURPRISE he gets state assistance. Before you try to deny it you should know this comes from an unimpeachable source. I think the XXXX get what they deserve what they get, I just wanted you to know you're not as slick as you think"So. On the plus side, I guess I can call my dam *self "unimpeachable" since it was me who put on Chris' caringbridge site that we got him on MAPs and applied for SSDI. (which will allegedly pay out starting in July, FYI)Right now, the ONLY "state assisting" Texas does for Chris is 8-12% coverage of certain medications and services. They cover a big fat ZERO dollars of more than $900 in medications (and very little toward many others), a big fat SQUAT for the 3 physicians he must see several times a month, and a big fat BUPKIS on his occupational therapy copays. But if anyone wants their donation back because Chris' out of pocket medical expenses are "only" 90% of $5-7k a month plus a hospital bill nearing half a mil ........you just let me know. I do not want Chris to see this, so feel free to comment like crazy to try and bury this ASAP. I just realized I don't even know if this is true.....someone could have emailed me just to be a bitch, and there's not *really an actual human being out there who thinks my brother doesn't deserve help because of a crappy MAPS benefit inthe smallest allowed by law percentage of benefits. That would certainly be the least of the evils, I think. Either way, I am super super pissed that someone would doubt him or us even with ALL the medical documents and information we've made available...for crap's sake, we signed a release that actually identifies "people from the Internet" so anyone could verify his medical issues. You want more than that, you drag your happy ass to to Seton Outpatient Rehabilitative Services 3 times per week and watch him scream in frustration as he tries to get his brain to relay messages to his broken body.......and then you look HIM in the eye and tell him he doesn't need help.
